Host a student

You get screened students, a defined piece of work, and first sight of people you have already trained. It costs you nothing to recruit them and about an hour a week to supervise.

What hosting involves

  • A defined periodWe ask for a specific number of students for a specific period, not an open-ended arrangement.
  • A named supervisorOne person in your organisation who directs the work and confirms the student's logbook online. Roughly an hour a week.
  • Real workA defined project or ongoing tasks that are genuinely useful to you. Students are briefed before they arrive on conduct, confidentiality and what is expected.
  • A safeguarding contactA named point of contact for any welfare concern, agreed before any student starts.

What you get back

Capable help

Students prepared for the workplace before they arrive, working on something you actually need done.

A recruitment pipeline

You see how someone works over twelve weeks before deciding whether to hire them. No agency fee, no guesswork from a CV.

A verified record

Your feedback becomes part of a record the student carries, and your organisation is named in it.

Remote and international projects

Where a student cannot travel, we arrange supervised remote projects with organisations outside their country. These are genuine pieces of work with a named supervisor and a confirmed record, arranged individually.

We also direct students to employer-designed virtual simulations, which are recorded in the portfolio as simulations rather than as placements. We do not describe a simulation as work experience with an employer, because it is not.
